Daterra was born from the dream to reinvent coffee farming with the quality and processes of a new sustainable agriculture, challenging the preconceived ideas of Brazilian coffee.
Founded in the ’80s, Daterra realized that sustainability was not a common concept at the time - unlike today, coffee growing was about productivity only, with no interest in environmental preservation. Since day one, the Daterra project aimed to research and continuously innovate, relying on science, technology, and passion to protect the Cerrado Bioma.
Besides many other certifications that validate Daterra’s commitment to the environment and community, the farm became a B Corp in 2017 to ensure continuous improvement towards sustainability.
