Elmhurst Milked is an innovative plant milk company founded in 2017, but the company’s roots date back to 1925. Formed in Queens, NY as Elmhurst Dairy, the multigenerational, family-run organization was in business for almost a century. A progressive pivot was made to close the famous dairy plant and switch to producing Elmhurst Milked products – a line of innovative, nutritious plant-based beverages.
Elmhurst Milked’s nut varieties contain up to four times as many nuts as other leading brands, while its new oat and brown rice varieties contain 20g of whole grains per glass and are stamped by the Oldways Whole Grains Council. Thanks to Dr. Chery Mitchell’s patented HydroRelease™ method – it allows Elmhurst Milked to retain more nuts and grains per glass than leading competitors, resulting in a more healthful, nutrient-rich offering.
The products can be enjoyed on their own as a high-protein, low-sugar beverage or used in cereal, coffee, tea and smoothies. They can also be used as a replacement for milk in cooking, and their high protein content and foaming properties make them excellent for lattés and cappuccinos.
